In a nursing home or hospital setting, there is a large number of team members that help care for their patients. If it was up to just one person, like the nurse was expected to do in the 1800′s, the care to every person was poor and not punctual enough. Now they have many other members in the care line. Under the nurse is usually his or hr team of LPN’s and cna certified personnel. Above the nurse is usually the nurse practitioner, the doctor, and the medical board. These positions ensure that the patient, as a whole person, is cared for in every way.
