Decided Against Dream Home After Criminal Records Check

The house was perfect. It was as if we had sat down with an architect and designed it ourselves. It was in a terrific school district and was also close to shopping, my husband’s work, and our church. We were so excited we could scarcely contain ourselves. Then, my mother-in-law made a tiny little suggestion that shed a whole new light on the situation. We checked the Georgia state criminal records to search for neighbors that may have had problems. We discovered that on our street there were two registered sex offenders! We assumed it was a neighborhood in which we could let our children play freely!
