New Year New Life
As December thirty first turns into January first, the things on many people’s minds are resolutions. Many resolutions involve clichéd items like going to the gym more and losing weight, or accomplishing some life goal, minor or major. My resolutions have more to do with my mental health and overall lifestyle choices. One of mine involves traveling more, not just for the new experiences but to escape the stresses of the working man’s grind. I want to kick back in linen shirts with frozen drinks and little tiny umbrellas in my hand and let worries and cares melt away, if only for a few days.
Next on my list is to become more fashionable or at the very least more presentable and cleaner. I realize that ripped up jeans and ratty tee shirts aren’t exactly lady killers. I plan on investing in some resort wear because it looks so clean and has a sort of casual elegance to it. Having higher end clothing will force me to treat my clothes better than tossing them into a pile and letting them sit there for days. I’m hoping this will have a dual effect of making me more responsible for my clothes as well as trying not to look like a bum in everyday life.
My last resolution ties in all of my other ones together. The stress free and well dressed me is poised to get out there and meet people and mingle. My ideal vision is to meet a fantastic woman wearing a cute summer dresses and somehow someway have a story book romance.
