Visiting Ottawa

ottawa, canada

I took a trip to Ottawa, the capital of Canada, without knowing that it was such a magnificent place to visit. I had a blast even for just living there for a short time. There a lot of things to do in Ottawa and I had a chance to see the magnificent sites that they have to offer.

First, I visited the world-famous Parliament Hill. I got to learn all about the rich history aboutCanada.  I stayed there till the evening to see the Mosaiko Light and Sound Show. It is one of the most anticipated events here on this political infrastructure. I was really amazed how they came up with such synchronized lights and sounds!

Second, I went to see the Rideau Canal which is known as one of the best things to do in Canada, also known as the Rideau Waterway, the canal that connects the Ottawa River to the city ofKingston,Ontario onLakeOntario. During the summer, you can enjoy the good continental climate and while enjoying the beautiful scenery of sail boats, flying birds and people fishing at the canal. But during the winter, youRideau Canal will turn into the largest skating rink in the world. People flock there and go skating with family and friends for the winter season.

Third, I went out shopping at the Byward Market as soon as I updated my travel blogs, one ofCanada’s oldest and largest public markets. Everything is almost available there. Shoppers from of new and used items are sold at a very reasonable price. I saw a lot of people showcasing their talents at the Busker’s festival and ate delicious crepes as I walk.

And then at night time, I checked out to see if the famous bars and restaurants that my friend have told me.Ottawahas a very active night life. From live music to pubs and to fine dining and dancing, the city never sleeps and I am glad that I have went out every night and made a lot of friends. Going toOttawais by far one of my best experiences as I wander to the world.
