A Different Type of “White” Wedding

White Castle is a fast food chain that you either despise or worship.  Personally, I don’t care for it, but I know many who would go through great lengthens for one tiny hamburger patty.  What I don’t know is anyone who enjoys White Castle so much that they would get married there.  However for one couple, it was their dream wedding come true.

Back in 2009 Clinton Smith and Rosemary Coones exchanged their marriage vows at a White Castle in Louisville, Kentucky.  Their wedding came to fruition due to a local radio contest, sponsored by the burger joint.  The lucky winners would be treated to a wedding ceremony, along with an affair at a local park featuring the band White Tie Affair and a burger shaped wedding cake.

In the end, there were issues with the local park and the wedding was moved to inside the restaurants itself.  The pair did not seem to mind the change of venue at all. In fact, they loved the idea so much that they renewed their vows a year later at their local California chain.  Hey, at least it is one way to save on chair covers and sashes in San Diego.
